يهدف التقرير إلى توعية النساء عامة، والشابات والقاصرات خاصة، أن لا يكن ضحايا لمثل هذه الجرائم.
والجدير بالذكر أن هذا التقرير هو أحد التقارير الإعلامية الستة، التي سيطلقها المركز خلال الأيام القادمة ضمن سلسلة احتفالاته بيوم المرأة العالمي.
#التقارير_الاعلامية_المصورة_الحساسة_للنوع_الاجتماعي”، هو محور توعوي أطلقه المركز ضمن فعاليات مشروع #تمكين_المرأة_للأدوار_القيادية، بالتعاون مع #منتدى_الاتحادات_الفيدرالية وتمويل من الحكومة الكندية.
جميع التقارير أعدتها طالبات كلية الإعلام، بعد استكمالهن البرنامج التدريبي الذي اختتمه المركز بالتعاون مع #كلية_الإعلام يوم الخميس 4 آذار 2021، لتمكين المشاركات من إعداد مثل هذه التقارير.
وقد تم تنفيذ كافة المراحل بإشراف ومتابعه فريق عمل المشروع من المركز ممثلا بمديرة المركز #الدكتورة_آمنة الخصاونة، ومسؤولة المتابعة والتقييم #المهندسة_هيام الخطيب، ومنسقة المشروع #الآنسة_هناء الشعبي.
وفريق التدريب السيد #قصي الرشدان والسيد #سليمان عواده من كلية الإعلام في جامعة اليرموك، والمدربة #شروق شطناوي خبيرة النوع الاجتماعي ومديرة مؤسسة شورى لبناء التوافقات الوطنية.

Social media platforms have recently buzzed with several videos that violate the societal, religious, and moral principles of Jordanian society. However, the greater harm was experienced by the women who were clearly exposed in these videos.
Upon monitoring closed social media groups that are specific to women, we noticed the spread of the threatening and blackmailing phenomenon of many women through the use of video recordings and recorded conversations that are in the hands of perpetrators. In these instances the victims were threatened of being exposed at work, among their acquaintances, or defamed; which forced them to commit undesirable acts with the sole purpose of stopping the repeated threats. This in turn puts them in a vulnerable position in which they could be blackmailed again and only adds to the emotional and psychological pressure.
Revenge porn is a crime that is committed when someone shares another person’s pornographic content online without their consent with the intent of personal financial gain, blackmailing or coercing the victim into committing further sexual acts, or revenge for terminating a relationship.
Pornographic content can also be obtained and shared by hackers for the purpose of financial profits, an act that causes personal harm and is classified as a form of sexual harassment.
The greatest harm done by these kinds of practices is felt by the victims themselves due to the humiliation and disgrace that they experience once their private content is shared. The emotional damage can be severe enough to compel the victim to commit suicide.
Despite the spread of these cases, there has not a strong stance to limit the occurrence of revenge porn which ultimately poses a danger to the conservative foundations of Jordanian society.
